1976-1998). Twenty-six Accreditation Site Team Visitations for Council on Social Work Education.

1992-1994) Staff Development and Needs Assessment Grant; Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services, Commonwealth of Virginia. $11,317 NIMH Grant to help develop a multi-method needs assessment model to assess the training and staff development needs of community mental health professionals. Carried out in the Norfolk and Suffolk CSB's in Virginia.

In these roles I helped develop the present undergraduate social work program to one that has been nationally accredited by the Council on Social Work Education three times and grown from 75 majors to 250 on campus majors and eleven full-time faculty. I also provided the leadership to develop a 90 graduate student M.S.W. program and an off-campus BSW program at Virginia Western Community College that has approximately 60 majors. In addition, I negotiated to have a human development program with 60 majors and five full-time faculty join the department. I have served on dozens of departmental, college, and university committees, too numerous to list.

(1985-1991) Adjunct Faculty Member, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Social Work, Southwest Virginia Off-Campus Graduate Program. I taught their graduate Macro Practice course during those six years.

(1975-1989) Psychiatric Social Work Consultant, Mental Health Services of the New River Valley.

In this role, I led psychotherapy groups, supervised a large number of professionals in relation to clinical practice and provided consultation on many programs and projects.

(1972-1974) Director of Planning - Community Planning Services of Durham, N.C.

This specialized division of the Durham United Way provided planning and coordination services in the area of human services to the Durham Community. Specific planning programs included: Community Policy Planning, Problem Solving Planning, Inter-Agency Program Development and Coordination, and Agency Administration Planning.

(1968-1972) Psychiatric Social Worker - Family Practice Clinic, Sharon, Pennsylvania

A base service unit of a county mental health center that provided individual, marriage, family and group counseling, Here I also supervised professional staff and prepared and administered an in-service training program for B.A. degree social workers. From June 1969 to the fall of 1971, I functioned in the capacity of Chief Psychiatric Social Worker.

(1971-1977) Private Practice. Marriage, individual, and groups counseling were contracted for by such diverse groups as individuals, married couples, a management consultation firm, Roanoke City Human Relations Office, church groups, the members of a commune, and New River Community College, Dublin, Virginia.
